Hello there! Someone sent the following to my inbox. I’m a total newb to mushroom growing though, so I wouldn’t even know where to start with a helpful project. If anyone has any ideas for a project to invest my time in, let me know, or apply yourself! I want to see mushrooms flourishing here in our city. 🙂
Applications open: Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund
Nonprofit organizations can now apply for grants from the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund until November 30, 2021. With $60 million available in funding for clean energy, workforce and contractor development, community gardens, tree planting, and other climate projects that make our communities more resilient, we want to hear your climate solutions! Projects should center those most affected by the impacts of climate change including low-income people and people of color.
PCEF staff are available to help you navigate the application process through information sessions, office hours, grant writing trainings, and technical assistance workshops in clean energy. Learn more here: http://www.portland.gov/pcef-grants.
The Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund (PCEF) provides dedicated funding to address climate change and advance racial and social justice. PCEF centers and elevates climate leadership and climate solutions from our communities that bear the greatest impacts of climate change: communities of color and people with low incomes. As the nation’s first-ever climate fund created and led by communities of color, PCEF is changing the way we resource and support communities most affected now and in the future.
