ParticipantI would be interested in hearing from other educators too. I direct a community music school in Illinois. Our program centralizes ensemble-playing, and individual lessons prioritize musical ensemble techniques; we have a faculty of 26 teaching artists in a wide range of music disciplines; we recognize that community mental health, environmental sustainability, aesthetics, and education in creative techniques are interrelated, and since our founding in 2006 we have been groping our way toward a music eduction model that can keep the large picture front and center. Music ed is a notoriously moribund field (think of the mean piano teacher who slaps fingers, or the exhausted middle school instructor who tries to teach rounds to kids who rap on the playground.) I am interested in communicating with other educators who may incorporate a psychedelic-inspired worldview into their work. Thanks!

ParticipantI am the founder and director of The Cicada Institute which is a comprehensive retreat space/eco-village and climate change think tank for ages 17-33 ( though all are welcome). We do experiential learning for existential issues by utilization of many ancient practices such as herbalism, permaculture, wilderness therapy, mindfulness/awareness, depth psychology, eco- building skills, multigenerational place based wisdom and more. Think Foxfire meets Hogwarts. We have 3 campuses now between St. Pete, FL and Asheville,NC and are heading towards research studies for psychedelic-assisted wilderness therapy effectiveness for this population. We would love to connect to this network as an healthy attachment/development resource in the world of education. http://www.cicadainstitute.com

ParticipantHello,
I am currently creating a therapy farm and seed saving school based in indigenous agricultural practices specifically addressing BIPOC generational trauma in Colorado. I am looking for funding, networking and programming for 6th grade to adults/elderly/disabled/veterans with an emphasis in elder > youth mentorship. Would love to connect with any of you in the community to building a safe space for BIPOC. My LinkedIn profile is: https://www.linkedin.com/in/benubius/
